A legacy of weather protection since 1914.
The Tin Cruiser Jacket has a service history more than a century long. Designed for foresters and patented in 1914, no other jacket can match the Cruiser's track record for durability, water resistance, and utility. The front features eight pockets including hand, chest, slotted-utility and compass pockets. The double-layer back adds additional weather protection and creates a full-width, pass through pocket originally intended for maps and survey charts. The shoulder fronts and outer arms are reinforced with a second layer of Tin Cloth for even more protection from the elements. Virtually unbreakable snaps are used for the front closure, adjustable cuffs and all pocket flaps.
Our oil finish Tin Cloth is a tightly woven canvas duck that’s been thoroughly saturated with paraffin under high pressure and heat. This process forces the wax into the core of the cotton fibers for lasting water resistance.
