Inspired by Sahana’s grandparents’ home in Southern California. Her grandfather has a garden in his backyard filled with lemon trees. Growing up, Sahana used to pick lemons with her grandfather and wanted to take a hint of the tangy flavor and infuse it into a cake while adding poppy seeds to the mix.
